8. Postdoctoral Position

Summary of Postdoctoral Fellowship:

The Biosocial Research Initiative at New York University’s School of Global Public Health is rapidly becoming an important leader in health equity research, applying a multidisciplinary approach to examine the ways in which psychosocial determinants, including racism and discrimination, increase the risk of aging-related diseases. Under the guidance of Principal Investigator Adolfo Cuevas, PhD, our team is expanding, and we are actively seeking a self-motivated, inquisitive, and collaborative Postdoctoral Associate to contribute to our upcoming research program.

This position is a key role within a newly funded NIH R01 project, focusing on advancing our understanding of the impact of neighborhood and interpersonal discrimination on allostatic load across the life course. The project will also examine the molecular pathways underlying these relationships and investigate how social integration may serve as a mitigating factor for the impact of discrimination on health.
