While marine red algae dominate our coastal vocabulary, their freshwater counterparts, the Rhodophyta, represent an ancient and highly specialized evolutionary lineage. Introduction on Prof. B.N. Verma Resource person of AARI International Algal webinar series session 2

               Dr. Bhola Nath Verma was born on 8 th June 1943 and was superannuated from the active service as University Professor and Head, University Department of Botany, B.R.A. Bihar University, Muzaffarpur, Bihar (India). He is the pioneer Phycologist who initiated and propagated Phycological Research in Bihar. During thirty-three years of active service, he successfully conducted a number of major research projects sponsored by UGC, CSIR, DST, Ministry of Environment and Forests under various ecological as well as Man and Biosphere Programme and Ministry of Nonconventional source of Energy, Govt of India, New Delhi. AARI Summer Internship on Algal Biotechnology for Pachaiyappa's College, Chennai Students May-June 2025

 Summer Internship 2025 Annakkili Amma Research Institute (AARI), conducted 15 days summer internship program for Pachaiyappa's College, Chennai, PG Botany final year students.  The Internship program was covering Biomass Production, Biomass Harvesting, Biomass Processing, Lipid Extraction, Phycoremediation, SLF and other topics related to Algal Biotechnology. The 15 days program started on 21st May 2025 and till 5th  June 2024.
