               Dr. Bhola Nath Verma was born on 8 th June 1943 and was superannuated from the active service as University Professor and Head, University Department of Botany, B.R.A. Bihar University, Muzaffarpur, Bihar (India). He is the pioneer Phycologist who initiated and propagated Phycological Research in Bihar. During thirty-three years of active service, he successfully conducted a number of major research projects sponsored by UGC, CSIR, DST, Ministry of Environment and Forests under various ecological as well as Man and Biosphere Programme and Ministry of Nonconventional source of Energy, Govt of India, New Delhi.
