Activities and responsibilities The unicellular alga Chlamydomonas reinhardtii secretes substantial amounts of glycolate under photorespiratory conditions (Taubert et al., Plant Biotechnol. J. 17, 1538-1546 (2019)). As glycolate is an important industrial chemical, its production in a photosynthetic microorganism opens up the long-term potential to establish a biotechnological industry based on renewable resources. Winter Internship on Biofertilizer at Annakkili Amma Research Institute (AARI) - December 2023

Annakkili Amma Research Institute (AARI), conducted 21 days winter internship program for Loyola College, UG Plant Biology and Biotechnology final year students.  The Internship program was covering Vermitechnology, Nitrogen fixing Bacterial isolation, compost preparation, Seaweed Liquid Fertilizers and other topics related to Biofertilizer. The Fifteen days program started on 19th December 2023 and till 8th  January 2023. Annakkili Amma Research Institute (AARI), conducted 15 days winter internship program for Loyola College UG Plant Biology and Biotechnology final year students.  The Internship program was covering Vermitechnology, Azolla Cultivation, Nitrogen fixing Bacterial isolation, composting and other topics related to Biofertilizer. The Fifteen days program started on 10th December 2021 and till 24th  December 2021. The Valedictory function of this fifteen day program was conducted on 23rd December 2021 and Student participation certificates were distributed to student on the Hands of Chief Guest Dr. M.
