Research assistant in laboratory investigation of CO2 storage in chalk reservoirs - DTU Offshore

 JOB DESCRIPTION

Are you interested to be part of the energy transition R&D?  


The Danish Offshore Technology Centre, Technical University of Denmark (DTU), invites applicants for a research positions on laboratory investigations of CO2 storage in chalk reservoirs. By joining our team, you will be working in an international environment and cooperate with some of the largest industrial players, Total Energies, Noreco and Nordsøfonden, as well as academic researchers. The project is part of DOTC’s aspiration to be a key player in the energy transition, and we are looking for an ambitious colleague who shares this vision.


Qualifications 

We prefer that you are an expert in flow and transport in porous media. Being open to multi-disciplinary research and team work is a must as you will work in close collaboration with the members of the research team. A close collaboration with our project partners and delivering results are essential for the success of the project.


Your background would require several elements:


MSc degree in petroleum/chemical engineering, geosciences, or other relevant areas;

Knowledge of the fundamentals flow in porous media;

Interest in applied research with a focus on delivering results to partners.

Skills in scientific programming languages;

Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary environment; 

Good communication skills in English;

Thorough, focused and hardworking person;

The period of employment is 18 months. The weekly working hours are 37 hours. Your employment  will be based on your educational level. You be employed as a Research Assistant. 


Salary and appointment terms

The salary and appointment terms is based on the collective agreement with the Confederation of Professional Associations. The allowance will be agreed with the relevant union and calculated on the basis of your seniority. The period of employment is 18 months  with an expected starting date of 1st of July 2023.
