Admission to the PhD Programme (June 2023) - (Full Time and Part Time)

After the course work, Full Time Research Scholars will get a stipend of Rs. 12000/-pm.

Advanced Computing, Botany, Chemistry, Commerce, Economics, English, Hindi,

Kannada, Management, Mass Communication, Physics, Political Science and Social Work Qualifying Degree

• Masters or equivalent degree in Sciences (M.Sc., M.Tech., M.Res.)

• Masters or equivalent degree in Commerce/English/ Hindi/ Kannada/Mass Communication/ Political Science/Social Work

Requirement (Marks / CGPA / CPI)

• Candidates belonging to the General Merit category should have a Minimum of 55% or equivalent grade in the Masters degree

• Candidates belonging to the SC / ST / OBC (only Non-Creamy Layer) / Differently Abled categories to have a Minimum of 50% or equivalent grade in the Masters degree

Entrance Test and Interview

• There will be an entrance test of two-hour duration, carrying 70 marks, based on which a shortlist of candidates will be prepared, followed by an interview for the shortlisted candidates (30 marks). The details of the entrance test, such as the topics/areas that would be tested and the question paper pattern, are available online (website-link).

• Candidates who have qualified NET (JRF/LS), GATE, and KSET (Karnataka) are exempted from the entrance test. They will directly attend the interview (100 marks).

• The selection will be based on the combined score obtained by the candidate in the entrance test and the interview.

It should be filled and submitted online on or before 31st May 2023. The application fee is Rs.1000. It should be paid online.
