Applications are invited for appointment as Research Assistant Professor in the LKS Faculty of Medicine (Ref.: 525874), to commence as soon as possible, on a one-year temporary basis or a two-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.


Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in public health, social sciences, statistics and health-related disciplines.  They should demonstrate strong competency in qualitative and qualitative data analysis and have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Cantonese).  Those with post-doctoral research experience, especially a strong background in aging and primary health research and an excellent track record of publications are preferred.


The appointee will work under the research team led by Professor Sophia S.C. Chan to participate in research project on primary health care related fields for older adults in Hong Kong.  He/She will assist the Principal Investigator to plan, coordinate, and implement data collection activities; conduct literature review and data analysis; prepare manuscripts, presentations and reports; supervise Research Assistants; and perform any other relevant tasks as assigned.


A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualification and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.  The appointment on fixed terms will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary.
