Summary of Postdoctoral Fellowship:

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled researcher with expertise in experimental cell biology, molecular biology, and biochemistry to join our team. Our research has focused on the molecular mechanisms of chronic inflammation in obesity-related metabolic diseases, as well as identification of nutraceuticals or molecular therapeutics to suppress such chronic inflammation. The qualified candidate will utilize standard cell biology, molecular biology, biochemistry, and omics approaches, as well experimentation with mouse disease models. Summary of Postdoctoral Fellowship:

The qualified candidate is responsible for performing and supervising research projects in the field of immunity to Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Research will focus on studying the function of human T cell responses to tuberculosis using primary human cells from blood and bronchoalveolar lavage (BAL) samples of healthy individuals previously infected with Mycobacterium tuberculosis and HIV. Teach two (2) large lecture courses/sections per semester in the Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, and Statistics Department at the 100- or 200-level.
