Winter Internship 2024 Annakkili Amma Research Institute (AARI), conducted 11 days winter internship program for Loyola College, UG Plant Biology and Biotechnology final year students.  The Internship program was covering Vermitechnology, Nitrogen fixing Bacterial isolation, compost preparation, Seaweed Liquid Fertilizers and other topics related to Biofertilizer. The 11 days program started on 18th December 2024 and till 30th  December 2024 for first batch and for second batch it started on 2nd January, 2025. The Faculty of Dental Medicine and Oral Health Sciences of McGill University is seeking to recruit an outstanding researcher for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor, in the field of microbiology.

The selected candidate will be expected to conduct world-class independent research, successfully compete for external grant funding, and contribute to a dynamic research and training environment at McGill. Job Duties:

Successful applicants will be expected to:

Develop and maintain a funded research program of the highest international standards in the Faculty of Dental Medicine and Oral Health Sciences and disseminate research findings through peer-reviewed publications and other knowledge translation activities.
Supervise graduate (MSc, PhD) students at the Faculty of Dental Medicine and Oral Health Sciences
Demonstrate a commitment to maintaining and enhancing excellence in undergraduate and postgraduate education.
Contribute to the oral microbiology curriculum and provide teaching activities at DMD in microbiology,
Provide guidance in infection control in the Faculty labs and clinics 
Participate in service to the Faculty, university and academic community.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:

Applicants must have a PhD and at least a one-year postdoctoral experience in Microbiology or related field. Candidates who additionally hold a DMD or DDS degrees are strongly encouraged to apply.

An outstanding record of research/scholarly activities: A record of research funding, quality of publications in top ranked, internationally recognized journals, presentations at significant national and international conferences, awards and accolades, and strong endorsements by referees of international stature. Applicants with a research program focused on other aspects of microbiology with relevance to oral health will also be considered.

In accordance with career stage, candidates are expected to demonstrate evidence of high quality and excellence in teaching and supervision of MSc, PhD students.

A record and interest in innovation and knowledge transfer.

McGill University is an English language university where most teaching and research activities are conducted in the English language, thereby requiring English communication both verbally and in writing.
