Postdoctoral Position in Organic Synthesis

The postdoctoral researcher will be responsible for conducting research in the development of new methodology for synthesizing diverse libraries of nucleoside analogues for antiviral screening. The researcher will need to have advanced skills in multistep synthesis, purification of organic molecules, and structural/stereochemical assignment with NMR spectroscopy.

Research: Conduct research in the development of new methodology for synthesizing diverse libraries of nucleoside analogues for antiviral screening

Skills: Advanced skills in multistep synthesis, purification of organic molecules, and structural/stereochemical assignment with NMR spectroscopy

Communication Skills: Strong communication/presentation skills

Writing Skills: Writing and reviewing scientific manuscripts

Mentoring Experience: Mentoring experience

A postdoctoral position is available in the Meanwell research lab at the University of Alberta for the development of new methodology for synthesizing diverse libraries of nucleoside analogues for antiviral screening. Eligibility/Qualification: Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry with demonstrated expertise in complex molecule synthesis. Additional qualifications include strong communication/presentation skills, writing and reviewing scientific manuscripts, and mentoring experience.
