 3-year Postdoc Position in Molecular Microbiology Quorum-sensing control of phage-host interactions Department of Biology Faculty of Science University of Copenhagen A 3-year postdoctoral position is available at the Section for Biomolecular Sciences, Dept. of Biology. The position is funded by a Novo Nordisk Foundation research grant “Understanding bacteriophage behavior through the lens of the bacterial host population” to Associate Professor Sine Lo Svenningsen Area of Research Our starting point is a temperate phage of the fish pathogen Vibrio anguillarum that is strongly regulated by the host quorum-sensing system. The project aims to understand the molecular mechanism underlying quorum-sensing control of this phage, and to develop new tools for detection of quorum-sensing-controlled phage-host interactions in general.
