AARI Winter Internship May 2024 on "Biofertilizers" for Loyola College - UG Students

Winter Internship 2024 Annakkili Amma Research Institute (AARI), conducted 11 days winter internship program for Loyola College, UG Plant Biology and Biotechnology final year students.  The Internship program was covering Vermitechnology, Nitrogen fixing Bacterial isolation, compost preparation, Seaweed Liquid Fertilizers and other topics related to Biofertilizer. The 11 days program started on 18th December 2024 and till 30th  December 2024 for first batch and for second batch it started on 2nd January, 2025. Annakkili Amma Research Institute (AARI) is the first algal biotechnology training and Research institute in Chennai. Annakkili Amma Research Institute (AARI) is equipped with state-of-the-art bio-analytical lab spread over more than 2000 sq ft. The prime focus of the institute is to develop industrial ready workforce as well as algal biotechnological entrepreneurs. Moreover, Annakkili Amma Research Institute is bridging between academia and algal biotechnology industries like biodiesel bioethanol, food, agricultural, pharmaceutical, environmental and many other sectors. Our team members are being part of many industries as the consultants.Annakkili Amma Research Institute (AARI) possess a good number of PhD's and M.Sc. holders as scientific officers and trainers.

VISION

We aim to stand first of central hub between Algal biotechnology academia and biotechnology industries by producing quality workforce and being the first in class Algal bio-analytical laboratory in the country.

MISSION

Our mission is to become a resource center for algal biotechnology training and education. We will be able to provide the graduates, post graduates and researchers hands on experience in various laboratory techniques and sophisticated analytical instruments as well as skills needed for the development of new biochemical technologies in algal biotechnology industries/institutes. AARI also provides quality biotechnological analytical services to the needy, when their presence.

Our Team                        

 Our  Research team has several  Research Scholars, Doctorates, College Professors as the consultant and trainees and the team is headed by Prof B.B. Chaugule (Retired Professor & Head, Department of Botany, Savitribai Phule Pune University).
